Acahual organic honey (indigenous beekeepers at Popocatepetl volcano)

These annual plants provide the nectar and pollen for Acahual organic honey. The predominantly indigenous beekeepers look after their bees as a cooperative called "Miel Mexicana" at the foot of the Popocatepetl volcano. The apiaries are located around the municipality of Yecepixtla in the state of Morales at an altitude of around 1,500 m.
