Promotional prices while stocks last! Natural mountain honey in organic quality from Kals am Großglockner. The Großglockner is known as the highest mountain in Austria and the High Alpine Road is particularly popular as a tourist highlight.
However, the Glockner area is only known to locals as a bee location. They appreciate the variety of flowers in the meadows and the rich food supply for honey bees. The bee location in Kals am Großglockner also speaks of the fact that it is located away from the heavily frequented tourist route from Salzburg to Heiligenblut in Carinthia. Kals in East Tyrol cannot be reached via the High Alpine Road. The location of the bees is in the Hohe Tauern National Park and as such it is largely protected from human influences.
The beekeeper Sebastian Bauernfeind is a passionate beekeeper and chairman of the RGO beekeeping department. RGO is the abbreviation of the Raiffeisen Cooperative East Tyrol, in which training and breeding matters are regulated. The section consists of regional beekeepers and, among other things, they are responsible for the construction and operation of the first child-friendly bee trail in the country.
