Fair trade orange blossom organic honey from Mexico. The predominantly indigenous beekeepers look after their bees as a cooperative “Miel Mexicana” at the foot of the Popocatepetl volcano. The apiaries are located around the municipality of Yecepixtla in the state of Morales at an altitude of around 1,500 m. In the otherwise barren area, beekeeping is often the only source of income for small farmers and Indians.
The honey is orange in color and has a typical, sweet orange taste. It is ideal for sweetening drinks and dishes and the whole family enjoys it. Among other things, honey is often used in Greek yogurt and muesli.
