Every year, in the middle of summer, actually still during the holiday season and school holidays, the topic of Advent and Christmas comes up. Christmas cookies are already on sale in the supermarkets and gingerbread is also on offer.
Now all we need are the Advent calendars , then nothing can go wrong during Advent. And it was precisely these Advent calendars without the German "s" in the middle that we brought from Mürztal to Vienna at the weekend.

We have been collecting the Advent calendars directly from the beekeeper in Sankt Lorenzen in Styria for 8 years now. The Neber family makes them with their own organic honey and every day during Advent a new jar of honey can be opened and tasted. Each honey is numbered from 1 to 24 and a new, delicious honey surprise awaits you every day. There are typical Austrian honey varieties from forest honey to acacia and blossom honey, sweet chestnut honey and alpine rose honey. But fine compositions with rose petals and Bourbon vanilla and wild berries are also included.
The large Advent calendar weighs around 3.4 kg and has a diameter of 33 cm. This is why freelancers like to put it up in the waiting area for clients - it's a real eye-catcher and a feast for the eyes.
Some of the unsold copies are in the shop window and you can look at them day and night from the outside and, if you like them, order them online. Even if you don't have the opportunity to choose an Advent calendar in Vienna, you can use the photos in the web shop to get your bearings and decide which one you want.
The golden Advent calendars have been particularly popular in recent years. The Neber family has barely been able to keep up with production; filling, labelling, arranging, transporting, all of this takes time and so anyone who has received a unique item from Styria can consider themselves lucky.
