Halloween is coming up soon

Posted by Siegfried Neubauer on

Dear witches, Halloween is just around the corner!
If you are on the road, please don't forget to take your witch certificate with you so that the holy inquisition cannot harm you.
Where can you get that? Since 1595 in the beautiful town of Oudewater in the Netherlands. The witch trial takes place on the original witch's scales and is certified by the magistrate as it is today.
How can that be? Witches have no soul, they gave it to the devil and therefore a witch lacks weight. And because a soulless witch is lighter than a human, she can ride a broomstick and even fly.
How is the procedure done? The subject has to go to the old witch scales in person and is weighed there in front of witnesses. Emperor Charles V already approved this weighing test in Oudewater as evidence for witch trials and so it was and is quite natural for women to travel to the scales from far-flung corners to have them certify that they are not witches.
With this possibly true witch story, Happy Halloween wish you a lot of fun dressing up and partying!
