On July 1, 2023, Swiss Post increased the rates for letters and parcels. It is not the first time since last year that postal rates have been raised, some of them sharply.
The tariff increases have led us to consider another alternative to postal delivery. On the one hand, the shipping option with DPD has been around for some time, on the other hand, we have also considered GLS as a shipping partner.
These two private service providers offer us a wealth of options and alternatives to post, sometimes even well below the postal rate.
GLS now gives you the option of having parcels sent to your home or depositing them at a parcel station. In principle, both variants would also be possible with DPD, but experience has shown that very often deliveries are only made to parcel stations and the customer has to arrange for collection.
