Special Event "Best of Honey Wine" on February 18th, 2023

On Saturday, February 18th, 2023 everything revolves around World Honey honey wine (mead) . This day belongs to the oldest alcoholic stimulants of humanity.

And because we want to know exactly whether mead only tastes good, promotes beauty, or also has a health-promoting effect, we bring the expert Jürgen Piller into the house. He is the maker of the Iron Fist Met and he knows the secrets perfectly! So that things don't get too academic, our guest of honor enough mead to taste and compare to your heart's content. His Eisenfaust Met is brewed without sulfites (unsulphurized) and according to an original recipe from the Middle Ages. Numerous gold medals at competitions prove its cult status.

As at the last event, there will again be the opportunity to try the brewing works of other Metsieder, including with Viking mead from Haithabu, the old trading post of the Vikings - today a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a museum. Samples are also planned berry wines in Minden, from Steyrerbrau in Steyr, from Ragnarok in Amstetten, from Katlenburger meads and from Rieder Bräu in Ried im Innkreis.

The event ends after approx. 1.5 hours and we ask all guests who have consumed alcoholic beverages not to drive! Please note that alcohol will only be served and sold to persons over the age of 18. If in doubt, the age must be checked.
