We founded the company in May 2016 and entered Welthonig as the company name in the company register. After that we started business and started trading in honey and beekeeping products.
Recently we have found that advertisers - including beekeepers - advertise with our company name. Among other things, advertising messages are regularly found in search engines and social networks. For us, of course, it's not a funny situation when potential customers read the advertising messages and buy or order from these advertising companies. Of course, the sales that we miss are not in our budget.
For this reason, we applied for trademark protection for world honey in the spring. The registration process for the brand has now been completed and a Union trademark "world honey" has been published throughout the EU. In this way we hope to be able to effectively protect our rights as trademark owners against free riders.
The mark applies to honey and beekeeping products in classes 30 and 33 and the protection lasts for the next 10 years. We hope that we can find ways to prevent third party trademark abuse. If necessary, we have to seek legal help in order to be able to enforce the omission of the trademark use.
