The Williams Christ pear variety is a summer pear and is one of the best pears in the world. The pleasant sweetness of the honey goes perfectly with it. And this is exactly the honey that a bear would enjoy, hence the apt name Bären Willi.
Tasting note from the manufacturer: "Soft bouquet of caramelized pear juice, finely spicy linden blossoms. Full-bodied and not too sweet taste with broad Williams pear on the palate, spicy with delicate acidity, seems fresh despite the honey and is eternally long."
