This strong, sweet blossom honey comes from the Lorber family estate in southern Styria. The farm is known for its award-winning pumpkin seed oil and the pollination of the oil pumpkins by its own bees and bumblebees.
This blossom honey is the classic among all types of honey. The bees are out in fields and meadows to collect nectar from flowers, fruit and vegetables. Among other things, from the oil pumpkins and scarlet runner beans at Lorber Hof. This honey is sweet with a strong taste. It is therefore mainly used for sweetening and is an ideal breakfast honey for the whole family.
The beekeeping operation is organically certified by Austria Bio-Garantie (certificate number: 2-00313-2024), but does not label the honey as organic. This means that the honey jars do not have an organic label even though the beekeeper adheres to the organic standard. The reason given is a high proportion of conventional farming in the immediate vicinity.
