Celtic Honey Liqueur from Ireland is a delicate, moderately sweet liqueur made with triple-distilled whiskey and real honey. The ingredients are inspired by ancient Celtic traditions. Back then, honey was fermented primarily with water and refined with all kinds of herbs, spices, and even hops. Drinking this honey-based drink was said to bring good luck. And so, even today, the Irish rely on blends with fine honey, as in this whiskey-honey liqueur.
The peaty aroma in the whiskey has been retained in this liqueur, 30% vol. alc.
Celtic Honey Liqueur is a product of the Castle Brand Distillery in Dublin, Ireland. The company was acquired by the French beverage group Pernod Ricard several years ago. The French company's portfolio includes world-renowned brands such as Chivas Regal, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Absolut Vodka, Beefeater Gin, Havana Club Rum, and Mumm Champagne.
