This dark oak honey comes from the nomadic Mouriki beekeeping family. The beekeepers care for 2,500 colonies in Greece and commute with their bees between the mainland and the Aegean islands to perform pollination work. As a reward, the beekeeper receives top-quality honey. Their oak honey has won the following prizes and awards, among others:

One of the preferred bee habitats is the remote region of Evrytania in central Greece . This area has no access to the sea, no railway connection, and no airport. The mountainous region consists of extensive forests and a well-known ski resort.
We source this honey directly from Greek beekeepers , without any middlemen. This honey is only marketable (i.e., suitable for sale) in Austria once it has been labeled with German, which we must affix to each jar of honey.
