The rainforest honey is a blossom honey from the tropical rainforest of El Salvador. This small Central American country still has remnants of ancient rainforests, which are preserved in national parks. The El Imposible National Park is particularly rich in plant and animal species. It is known for its abundance of orchids; more than 400 species have been recorded there.
What makes this honey special compared to European honeys is that El Salvador lies close to the equator and enjoys a consistently warm climate year-round. These are ideal living conditions for the heat-loving bees, meaning that supplemental feeding with sugar ( winter feeding ) is completely unnecessary.
