The beekeeper has had a high-yield apiary in southern Styria for years. There the heat-loving chestnut trees find an ideal climate. The tart and intense taste is characteristic of chestnut honey. Gourmets appreciate it as an accompaniment to snacks, especially with cheese and ham. But even at the BBQ, grilled food can be marinated with this moderately sweet honey. Finally, this honey is also an ideal sweetener for marinating salads, especially lettuce.
