Strong, tart, liquid chestnut honey of the highest quality . The Brezzo family beekeeping business is located in a prime location in Piedmont and has the main sweet chestnut growing area on its doorstep.
We use this honey for marinades and to sweeten salads, to marinate grilled food, and as an accompaniment to hard and blue cheese. In summer, it is our favorite honey for Italian Caprese . The combination of chestnut honey with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and olives is a delight for the palate. It tastes more intense than the usual drizzling with olive oil. In winter, we also use chestnut honey for baking, including for some types of gingerbread. However, we would prefer sweeter types of honey for sweetening tea or as a breakfast spread. And children don't really like the bitter taste either.
We can currently offer you the following options:
- 500 g chestnut honey in a glass jar at 13.95 EUR; basic price 1 kg = 27.90 EUR
- 400 g anthology in a jar with chestnut honey and wooden spoon and red bow á 14,50 EUR; basic price 1 kg = 36,25 EUR
