This Greek mountain tea comes from the nomadic Mouriki beekeeping family. The beekeepers look after 2,500 bee colonies in Greece and commute with their charges between the mainland and the islands in the Aegean to carry out pollination work. As a reward, the beekeeper receives top-quality honey and some of the herbs in organic quality.
The valuable herbal landscape on Crete is severely threatened by poachers, so laws had to be passed to protect it.
Pour about 2 g of herbs into 250 g of hot water and let it steep for 5-8 minutes. Sweeten the tea with a spoonful of honey, depending on your preference.
