Introductory price 14.90 EUR! Waldviertel gray poppy is an Austrian specialty and a protected designation of origin (PDO) from the region in Lower Austria. The Gressl family's poppy farm is located in Ottenschlag, approx. 110 km from Vienna, embedded in their own poppy fields.
A specialty that is unfortunately only known regionally is distilled directly from the fermented mash of gray poppy seeds, the so-called Papaver . It is pure, clear poppy seed spirit without any other additions. With 41% vol.alc. Papaver has the typical strength of distilled spirits.
