Update 28.5.2024: The beekeeper has brought his last jars to Vienna! Strong, viscous forest blossom honey from the remote Ötztal in Tyrol. The apiaries are located at 1,300 m above sea level in the Kitzwald near the Köfler landslide (see photos).

The small apiary consists of the beekeeper, his brother and the 96 year old (!) mother , who also looks after the bees. After the snow melts in May, the bees are brought to the mountains and, depending on the weather, this delicious forest blossom honey is harvested in mid-summer. At times, there is also alpine rose honey from the apiary. In the picture you can see the difference in color to the forest blossom honey.

500 g jar á 13,90 EUR; basic price 1 kg = 27,80 EUR
1,000 g jar at 19.90 EUR
