Red Viking mead comes from the area around Haithabu, the legendary Viking trading center on the Baltic Sea. The place was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018. In this Viking tradition, mead is now again made from honey and water.
Then as now, mead is also refined with fruit. In the case of the red Viking mead, it is cherry juice. This makes this mead the perfect summer drink for adults.
