After 2022 and 2023 there will soon be the 3rd big Viennese mead tasting at Welthonig!
On Saturday, January 20th, 2024, everything revolves around Welthonig Honey wine (mead) . This day belongs to humanity's oldest alcoholic beverage. And because we want to know exactly whether mead only tastes good, promotes beauty, or also has health-promoting effects, we brought expert Jürgen Piller into the house. He is the creator of Iron Fist Mead and he knows the secrets exactly!
So that things don't get too academic, our guest of honor has enough honey wine in his luggage to taste and compare to his heart's content. His Eisenfaust mead is without sulfites (unsulfured) and brewed according to an original medieval recipe. Numerous gold medals in competitions prove his cult status. As with the last events, there will be the opportunity to extensively try out other manufacturers' brews. Among other things Viking Met from Haithabu, the old trading center of the Vikings - today a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a museum. Samples are also planned Berry wines in Minden, from Steyrerbräu in Steyr, from Thor in Burgenland , by Katlenburger Honey wines and other manufacturers.

The event ends after about 1.5 hours and we ask all guests who have consumed alcoholic drinks not to drive! Please note that alcohol will only be served and sold to persons aged 18 and over.
