We open door no. 5 of the World Honey Advent Calendar
Today we are giving away a glass of organic blossom honey from the Wien Cobenzl winery. This is probably one of the best honeys Austria has to offer! It is not for nothing that this honey regularly receives high awards. The winery along the Höhenstrasse and on the edge of the Vienna Woods is particularly popular with hikers. The in-house beekeeper gives the honey the time it needs in July and August until impurities and suspended particles have settled. Only then can the honey be filled into jars and offered. A natural product without filtration and heating, also as raw honey. As year-round honey, it is only extracted once in July, so that the entire spectrum of early and summer bloomers can be found in the honey, from dandelions to chestnuts to small-leaved limes, the bees have a richly laid table.
